Images: 1 2 3 Enlarge image			A new reception building with a centralised entrance foyer links the teaching blocks with student welfare facilities and a library space. The circular form provides a clear identity for the building but presents technical challenges. These were resolved by combining a long span steel frame with composite floors with a facetted lightweight timber-stud external wall. The curved façade is achieved by spacing the timber boarding off the facetted structural panels. The building has a BREEAM excellent rating.
