A community theatre designed predominantly for childrens performances. The building is steel framed with a concrete lined auditorium box and two lightweight accommodation wings. Walls are clad in light gauge metal studding supporting iroko timber boarding. The central foyer space has very slender columns braced by the roof plane. Designed as a low energy building the thermal mass of the concrete contributes to the conditioning of the auditorium.
