Images: 1 2 3 4 5 Enlarge image			A well-known shopping centre in Vienna is extensively modernised and reconfigured with work to the main atria roofs and external cladding system. A series of ETFE, (ethylene tetroflouroethylene), foil panels are set on a lightweight steel frame to complete the streetscape on the corner. The free-form pneumatic structure is stiffened by steel ribs each fabricated to a unique profile from a three-dimensional computer model. Top and bottom stringers curve in two planes and are built up from cold-rolled and heat-bent steel sections to carry lights and drainage systems.
