Clearwater Yard

A low-energy office building was developed in a conservation area on a site with restricted access between a primary school and a row of Georgian houses. The structure comprises an exposed reinforced concrete frame with all fittings cast in flush and bespoke cladding system. Existing party walls form part of the building envelope on two sides and these elements are underpinned independently with the new building cantilevered out to avoid overloading the old brickwork. A naturally insulated ‘green roof’ sedum system covers the three-monopitch roofs.
