RAF Museum

A new masterplan, additional buildings and comprehensive landscaping are bringing much-needed coherence to the RAF Museum’s Hendon site, enhancing the visitor experience and better communicating the story of the RAF, its people and technology. Together with architects Nex and landscape architects Argent Ter we are making a new visitor centre incorporating a prominent new 40 metre long entrance with a deep-cantilevered roof canopy. Inside the existing main hangar a complete reconfiguration will include a new central structure providing a café, shop, members’ room, public viewing galleries and flexible-use spaces. Across the site we are creating a new 170-seat restaurant by converting a semi-derelict officers’ mess dating from the 1930s.
